About the Event
Are you looking for outdoor family activities this winter? Visit the Oregon Maple Project at Camp Colton to participate in a day of Bigleaf Maple sugaring. Learn how to tap trees, collect sap, and begin the process of making it into Bigleaf Maple syrup. This is a hands-on learning opportunity for family members of all ages. We will spend 3 hours outdoors, touring and working on the maple farm, and, of course, tasting Bigleaf Maple sap and syrup! If you'd like to extend your experience, consider spending the night at Camp Colton. Reserve lodging here. You might also enjoy perusing our bibliography and teacher resources to prepare for your family's day at Maple Camp.
